Bhang powder is a preparation made from the dried leaves and sometimes flowers/buds of the Cannabis sativa plant, ground into a fine powder. Here's a summary of its description, uses, effects, and legal status in India:
Description:
- Bhang powder consists of the pulverized leaves and occasionally the flowering tops of the cannabis plant.
- The potency and composition can vary based on the plant parts used and the specific cannabis strain.
- It has a long history in the Indian subcontinent, deeply rooted in cultural and religious traditions, especially Hinduism and festivals like Holi and Maha Shivaratri.
How it's Used:
- Beverages: Most commonly mixed with milk, sugar, spices, and fruits to create traditional drinks like bhang lassi and bhang thandai.
- Food: Can be incorporated into sweets (laddoos, halva) and savory dishes (pakoras, chutneys).
- Ayurvedic Medicine: Used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for potential therapeutic properties and available at some dispensaries.
- Other Forms: Also found as bhang goli (pills).
Effects:
- Contains THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the main psychoactive compound, and CBD (cannabidiol).
- Psychoactive effects of THC: Euphoria, altered perception, increased appetite, relaxation, but also potential anxiety, paranoia, and impaired coordination.
- Other potential effects of CBD: Non-psychoactive, associated with pain relief, anti-inflammatory properties, and anxiety reduction. Bhang may also increase appetite and reduce nausea.
- Ingested cannabis effects take longer to appear, are more prolonged, and can be more intense than inhalation.
- Excessive use can lead to confusion, dry mouth, fatigue, anxiety, increased heart rate, dizziness, and in rare cases, hallucinations or panic attacks.
- Regular use can lead to addiction.
Legality in India:
- Bhang is legal in many parts of India because the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of 1985 exempts the leaves and seeds of the cannabis plant from its definition of narcotics.
- Ganja (flowering tops) and charas (resin) remain illegal.
- The sale and consumption of bhang are regulated by state excise laws.
- Some states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka have government-licensed shops selling bhang.
- Its cultural and religious significance contributes to its legal and social acceptance, particularly during festivals.
Important Note: While bhang is legal in many areas, it's crucial to use it responsibly and in moderation due to its psychoactive effects and potential for adverse reactions with excessive consumption. Individuals with certain health conditions should avoid

Bhang Powder
Tge entire powder was out of the pouch . It was simply a waste . You guys ought to package stuff properly before shipping it and not simply put it in plastic bags
I bought from them twice one time a year ago and again during holi. Last year batch uad better packing and made me high with just 7g, but the one I ordered during holi has no THC, I first consumed 7g and felt nothing. After a week I consumed 14g and still didn't felt anything. I don't know if they sold low concentrate THC during Holi.
